    On December 9th, the hoisting and positioning of the last high-concentration anaerobic tank for the Biological Resource Utilization Center Project in Qingpu District, Shanghai, which was undertaken by Nanjing Litong Heavy Industry Machinery Co., Ltd., was successfully completed. This marks the smooth completion of an important milestone in the equipment installation of the Biological Resource Utilization Project in Qingpu District and lays the foundation for ensuring the early completion and commissioning of this project.

    The fabrication and installation of high-concentration anaerobic tanks involve high technical content, a large amount of work, and a tight construction period. In order to complete the project progress plan as scheduled, Nanjing Litong Heavy Industry Machinery Co., Ltd. made scientific overall arrangements for the production, processing, and installation plans, organized nighttime construction, worked overtime, and seized every moment to accelerate the construction progress.

    Due to the large volume and weight of the anaerobic tank assembly, in order to ensure safety during the installation process and the welding quality, Litong Heavy Industry and the general contractor of the project repeatedly conducted research and demonstration. Eventually, the "segmented assembly and inverted splicing method for the cylinder body" was adopted as the processing and installation plan. The anaerobic tank assembly consists of three sections: the cone, the base ring, and the cylinder body. After being assembled on the ground respectively, they were hoisted onto the reinforced concrete foundation support with a height of 12 meters for assembly. The diameter of the anaerobic tank cylinder body is 15 meters, the total height of the tank is nearly 30 meters, and the total weight (including accessories) is approximately 180 tons. After being divided into three sections, the weights of the cone, the base ring, and the cylinder body are 36 tons, 34 tons, and 110 tons respectively.

    When the last cylinder body assembly was hoisted and positioned, the weather was sunny to cloudy, the temperature was 10 °C, and the wind was blowing from the east at level 1, with a gentle breeze, which was very suitable for heavy-duty hoisting. Although there was no celebration ceremony on site, the organization and command as well as the workers' operations were carried out with full confidence, in a calm, orderly, and methodical manner, demonstrating the superb and first-class professional level and work ethics of Litong Heavy Industry's construction team.

    At 3:58 in the afternoon, all the preparatory work on site was ready. The ZCC9800 crawler crane (crawler crane) started its motor. The crane let out a dull yet powerful roar, making the ground tremble as the cylinder body slowly shifted and rose. The crawler crane was really powerful. It effortlessly lifted the 110-ton cylinder body. In less than an hour, the cylinder body was hoisted onto the base ring which was nearly 14 meters high. With the assistance of workers pulling and coordinating, it safely, steadily and precisely landed in its proper position.

    The crawler crane, a giant among cranes, has a total weight of 520 tons for the whole machine under the basic working condition, with a boom of over 70 meters. Its maximum lifting capacity under the super-lift working condition is 800 tons. For this hoisting operation alone, the weight of the hook assembly reached 6 tons. It took more than a dozen large trucks with a load capacity of 30 tons each to transport the crane's main body and accessories to the construction site. And it took about three days just to assemble the crawler crane unit. 

    Since last September, Nanjing Litong Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. has undertaken a total of three projects, namely the Phase III of the Shanghai Bioenergy Recycling Project, the New Construction Project of the Fengxian District Bioenergy Recycling Center, and the Qingpu District Biological Resource Utilization Center.

    It is reported that the Phase III of the Shanghai Bioenergy Recycling Project is a major project in Shanghai. It is located within the Laogang Ecological and Environmental Protection Base in Pudong New Area, which is the largest in the country. Situated to the south of the Phase II of the Shanghai Bioenergy Recycling Project, the project covers an area of approximately 299.1 mu. Its daily processing scale is 2,000 tons of household kitchen waste per day. It mainly serves the central urban area and Pudong New Area and is the backup guarantee facility for the whole-process classification of domestic waste in the city. It is invested and constructed by the Laogang Development Company affiliated with Shanghai Municipal Investment (group) Corporation.

    The main features of the project are mainly adopting the mature main process of "pretreatment + high and low concentration collaborative anaerobic digestion". It follows the concept of overall coordination of the whole plant and in-depth resource utilization, and takes into account the in-depth resource utilization of organic residues in Phases I, II, and III as well as the improvement of the quality and efficiency of sewage in a coordinated manner. Biogas is purified to prepare compressed natural gas (CNG). Organic residues are explored for black soldier fly breeding. Biogas residue undergoes wet cracking and aerobic fermentation to prepare raw materials for organic fertilizers. After being pretreated for ammonia removal, biogas slurry enters the leachate treatment plant for subsequent treatment, which is conducive to reducing the amount of carbon source added and simultaneously preparing sodium bicarbonate, maximizing the realization of resource utilization.

    After the completion of the project, it is estimated that the annual output will be more than 3,600 tons of crude oil, more than 2,800 tons of dried insects, more than 20,000 tons of carbon-based organic fertilizers, and more than 80,000 tons of CNG. After the Phase III project is put into operation, the daily processing capacity of wet waste at the Laogang Ecological and Environmental Protection Base will reach 4,500 tons, making it the world's largest base for in-depth resource utilization of wet waste. 

Nanjing Litong Heavy Industry Machinery Co., Ltd. has participated in the production, processing and installation of all 17 high-concentration anaerobic fermentation tanks in the above three projects. This is another major large-scale project following the construction of the National Extreme Sports Venue in Lishui District, Nanjing City and the construction of the pipeline gallery for the initial public supporting project in the Liquid Bulk Cargo Area of Xuwei Port Area, Lianyungang City.
